Esther Choves is now transforming lives at CAGEAD
Sangtum Esther Choves, a retired Agricultural engineer of the Cameroon Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, now works at CAGEAD as the Field Assistant in the She Builds Peace project.
Before getting involved in the She Builds Peace project she declined most of the positions offered her in many institutions (local, community and Religious). Having been empowered by the training on the localization of UNSCR 1325 by CAGEAD, she now is a full CAGEAD staff and supervises the SheBuildsPeace Project through the 30 Peace Clubs in Bamenda I and III municipalities.
Away from this, she has accepted the position of a councillor in her Ndzimtah (Unit 5) neighbourhood where she is a member of the Finance Committee as well as the Conflict Resolution Committee. She is very outgoing now, participating in many activities and decision-making levels of her community. She takes off time to sensitize the women of her community on the UNSCR 1325. She is also a holder of a certificate in Peace Building and Conflict Transformation from the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon (PCC) Peace and Justice Centre (PJC)-Bamenda, driven by her interest in conflict resolution and peacebuilding.
