CAGEAD takes great pride in celebrating another accolade, this time for her unwavering dedication to championing the rights of adolescent girls and young women. Amidst a landscape where menstrual hygiene management and sexual reproductive health rights are often overlooked, CAGEAD has emerged as a beacon of transformation, significantly improving the lives of thousands of young females in Cameroon's Northwest region.

 CAGEAD's groundbreaking initiatives tackle the multifaceted challenges confronting young girls and women head-on. By equipping them with vital knowledge, essential skills, and the confidence to assert control over their bodies, health, and destinies, CAGEAD has fostered profound change. Through training educators, establishing menstrual hygiene clubs, and distributing informative resources, the organization has sparked a rippling wave of positive impact.

Over 20,000 adolescent girls and young women across Mezam (Bayelle, Ntarikon) and Boyo (Njinikiom, Belo, Fundong) as well as Donga-Mantung (Dumbu, Nyangi, Njinsoh) have received menstrual hygiene kits, restoring their dignity and self-assurance.

63 young girls have been empowered with the skills to produce reusable sanitary pads, promoting sustainability and self-reliance. Initiatives such as boot camps, fireside dialogues, and outdoor picnics have created safe havens where young girls and women can engage in open discussions on sensitive subjects, empowering them to make informed choices regarding their sexual health.

The remarkable achievements of CAGEAD have rightfully earned it a prominent position as a finalist for this esteemed award. This recognition is a testament to the organization’s relentless commitment to fostering a brighter future for adolescent girls and young women in Cameroon.
