Economic Empowerment and Financial Freedom for women and girls
At CAGEAD, we are dedicated to promoting the economic empowerment and financial freedom of women and girls. Our initiatives are designed to support and enhance their livelihoods through targeted activities and resources. We focus on three main areas: Promoting Economic Empowerment and Financial Freedom, Vocational Training and Skill Building, and Supporting Entrepreneurial Ventures.
Promoting Economic Empowerment and Financial Freedom
This area focuses on supporting women and girls in accessing livelihood opportunities and achieving economic independence. CAGEAD provides capacity and skill-building training, support grants, and start-up kits to empower vulnerable women and girls. By offering practical tools and resources, we help them embark on their entrepreneurial journeys and build sustainable futures. To date, we have supported about 500 teenage mothers and 100+ vulnerable women with seed capital for their businesses, and they are successfully thriving in their respective ventures.
Vocational Training and Skill Building
CAGEAD operates a vocational training unit where teenage mothers, internally displaced persons (IDPs), and other vulnerable women and girls can acquire valuable skills. Our training programs cover, sewing of face masks, and the production of reusable sanitary pads. These skills not only provide immediate income opportunities but also contribute to long-term economic stability and self-sufficiency.
Supporting Entrepreneurial Ventures
To further support entrepreneurial efforts, CAGEAD offers comprehensive guidance and coaching for women and girls starting their own businesses. We facilitate access to resources and provide ongoing mentorship to ensure their success. Our focus is on nurturing their entrepreneurial skills and helping them navigate the challenges of running a business, ultimately fostering economic empowerment and financial freedom.
